So what has been happening since we last spoke???

So what has been happening since we last spoke???

The weekend after the Dino show we had some friends from Tasmania come to visit. We knew Mark and Chrissie from our time in Cambridge and they emigrated to Oz and then on to Taz. It was great to see them and Mark's lovely niece Jade who came along with them. We went bowling which was fun and Jade painted Lucy's finger and toe nails......Tom then wanted them done.....we will have to have a talk!

Tom was in full 'Sporticus' mode (a kind of sports mad superhero) so got everyone doing their exercises. I wisely stayed the right side of the camera to avoid showing anyone up with my gymnastic prowess!

Lucy had been doing a little weight lifting too.

We went to a place called Victor Harbor (harbour) last weekend which was lovely.

It is a whale watching hot spot but not until later in the year so we will return in July armed with binoculars and camera. It has a long causeway to 'Granite Island'  which is crossed by riding on a horse drawn tram pulled by a horse named 'Thomas'.

There is also a penguin sanctuary, a whale museum and a steam train running along the coast which sadly was off for repairs so we had an old diesel engine pulling us instead but the kids got to ride with the driver so they were happy.

licking the bowl is the best bit!

I have started my guitar lessons so have been spending my evenings murdering chords and not blogging. It is going to be a long time before I can play anything remotely recognisable but as soon as I can then.......no I wont subject you to that.
We hope you are all well.
sleep well

dino-tastic!

To my public
I hope you are all in good health and that life is being kind to you.

This Thurdsay just gone, Tom and I stepped back in time and went to the 'Walking with Dinosaurs' Arena Tour. For the uninitiated this is the BBC inspired arena spectacular and with the risk of sounding like an advert for it, it is brilliant and if you get the chance to go then do so. The arena is brought alive with very realistic animatronics that are simply HUGE. Tom was a little scared and ended up with earplugs in for the second half as it was rather loud. The Dino's are anywhere from one foot tall baby ones to 36 foot Brachiosaurus which is 56ft from nose to tail!

Note the size of the Narrator vs Dino!

I

It was a good show and as Tom proudly said to Rachel when we got home
"We've had a proper boys night mum"

Night night everyone and sleep peacefully, the Dinosaurs are extinct......................or are they grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
